How the odd/even holiday schedule works

An alternating odd/even year holiday schedule is the simplest way to keep holidays fair between two homes. Each holiday is assigned to one parent in even-numbered years and to the other parent in odd-numbered years. Because it flips every year, both parents get every holiday exactly once over any two-year span — no keeping score.

For the biggest days, families often either alternate the whole holiday or split the day itself — for example, Christmas Eve with one parent and Christmas Day with the other, then swap the next year. You can set any holiday above to Always You, Always Co-parent, or Split the day to match your own agreement.

Once your plan looks right, and layer it on top of your regular so holidays always take priority on the calendar.
